Tigers (League of Legends)
Tigers, formerly known as the GE Tigers, HUYA Tigers, and KOO Tigers are a professional ''League of Legends'' team based in South Korea.
Chinese social networking site YY acquired a Korean team to promote their newly renamed online streaming service in Korea. YY's parent company Guongzhou Huaduo Network Technology, LLC. (Duowan Inc) hopes to promote their newly renamed streaming site, HUYA.com, in Korea by creating a team built around well known Korean players. The team was registered under Duowan's Korean subsidiary GE Entertainment. They are not currently a part of the KeSPA organization. The team competes in the SBENU League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) league.
In the 2015 League of Legends World Championship the Tigers won their preliminary group and in the bracket beat KT Rolster and Fnatic. The team garnered second place after facing SK Telecom T1 in the finals in Berlin, Germany.
